It seems that though there were quite a lot of people doubting the chances, in the end Rajneeti sequel would have Kareena Kapoor playing Prime Minister. It seems that there were some confusion as to what Kareena’s role would be in the film, but ultimately she agreed to make the film with Prakash Jha. In the movie her screen partner is going to be Ajay Devgn who actually recommended her name when the casting of this film was happening.
