The truth is that Neethane En Ponvasantham is a sweet movie, which makes it a point to have a romance at the core of a film. Gautham Menon in his inherently romantic mode decides to make a movie which is not just poignant, but also has a lot of depth in it. That does not mean that this movie is without flaws. Indeed, this movie deals with a few realities which very few romantic movies actually deal with.
